A buddy of mine and his wife have the same thing for their wedding band.

I know what you mean about rings. I wear them, but ... if I'm honest, sometimes they're annoying when you're typing. Especially the heavier and chunkier ones.

Iron Heart silver cuff

I like cuffs in principle, but find myself constantly trying to tighten them. So right now I am in the process of figuring out a heavy cuff (something like 150 g of silver what will close with a leather strap. I've fiddled so much with some that I'm come close to snapping a pretty good cuff otherwise. I know that it sounds wierd to most people, but I inadvertently unbent, with one hand, a brass nail cuff. So I don't generally get any jewelry that isn't closed. like, even a small ring in a soft metal like 18K gold - you are going to need Hulk level strength to pull it apart. But if the ends are not joined, pulling things apart only takes one hand, even on a pretty thick piece of metal. The exception are like, things like actual curb chains in hardened steel meant to stop bike thieves and whatever. You can obviously still break them, but you are not going to do it by mistake and with bare hands.

@LA Guy I feel ya on rings. I think with time, it's just something I got used to. I'm constantly fiddling with them (especially my wedding band); taking them off, rolling them, etc. As for the cuff, I actually like that it has some "give." I've been wearing one for a while (before this one, Viola Milano, Craighill, MoonPi), and don't mind that it sort of dangles. Next, I've like to add the Flat Head dual-strand leather bracelet underneath the cuff. I think that'll keep it in place a bit more.

Also, is Good Art stuff especially well-made or just especially well-marketed? It looks gorgeous but I still don't know the first thing about jewelry.

In the grand scheme of jewelry Good Art is quite inexpensive. Walk into any Dover Street Market, Barney's, Fred Segal, etc.. and look at the prices of the jewelry, then looking at Good Art's prices and you'll realize that it's actually very well priced.

I'm sure I'll get some Good Art at some point, but I've got a couple raises standing between here and there.

speaking of good art, i've interested in the model 18 ring in medium, but i cant seem to find any photos of anyone wearing it. by chance, does anyone here happen to own it?

i love the frida ring but it's way too big on my finger, and the model medium 18 ring seems (sort of) like a smaller profile version of the frida

Just picked up a concho bracelet made by Ricky Montano, (accent on the n), who is one of the real legends of this type of southwestern hand stamped jewelry. Mine is the thinner one (3/4") on the left. I like the 1" bigger one as well, but it's harder to wear on a stack with other leather bracelets:

I got a Good Art Belt Buddy to start. Not really jewelry per se, but it definitely is a cool and hugely practical piece. Better than the keys-in-pocket solution I've been using for years. Looks great, too.

Looking around a bit more, I figure with the exception of that Iron Heart bracelet I might as well just save up for Good Art. Anything else would be the wrong sort of compromise. The rosette motif is just too darn good. Might work a Peanuts piece in there.

Gives me a good reason to stop buying other stuff I don't need.

Honestly, the next thing that I would go for is a Good Art 10A or 10B bracelet. I liked the 10C, but it is $2600 or so, and the 10B is a grand cheaper, and frankly, what you want unless you want something super chunky.

That said, the new tea bracelet is pretty cool, and... we'll be giving one away soon!

Bought a Kei Shigenaga ring a couple of months ago. The design is inspired by kintsugi, a Japanese method of repairing broken pottery with gold. It's hard to tell in the photo, but some of the "cracks" in the ring have been filled in with gold.

I really dig the design and hope to get another, but the lead time is now ten weeks. Apparently, a US store will be carrying them by the end of the year, and I think I'm just going to wait for that. Will be a lot easier to try things on for size.
