They both have the same quality. Just due to marketing, goros stuffs worth 3-5x retail or even more. While CH stuff will depreciate to bout 60-70% depending on the item.

Quality has been low all along or only recent times?
I think it was probably good quality in the 90s when it was unknown... now it’s extremely overhyped and I’ve felt a piece and compared to good art it feels like shit. I can’t really compare it to Larry smith cus they’re both completely different styles, but compared to good art which is also a biker aesthetic, GA is 10x with similar pricing. Also, chrome hearts doesn’t hold value nearly as much.

GA is relatively unknown. I checked yahoo! Theres not much listing.

CH jeans with patches will fetch a good price atm. So does their trucker caps, which goes higher than retail.

there’s a reason why it’s not often found on second hand places. No one wants to sell once they buy.
You’re right it’s a lot less known than chrome hearts. However, it’s much much nicer. Honestly good art is up there in quality with chopard, van Cleef, Cartier, bvlgari etc... you can’t say the same about chrome hearts. Chrome hearts is like the supreme of jewelry lol. Some of the jewelry has cool designs, but the clothes 💩 it’s so tacky.

I really don’t think chrome hearts has the same quality as good art or Larry smith.
I don't know about that. That Larry Smith cuff bracelet above looks like it has a stabilized turquoise stone. Is Chrome Hearts really that different from a stabilized turquoise stone bracelet?

I imagine most of us here are buying for aesthetics, cultural meaning, and cultural identity. People like Good Art stuff because it allows them to create a kind of Self Edge look and participate in some idea of a shared community. Or they're buying stuff because they think it makes them feel cooler or whatever.

i wouldn't buy good art unless its quality is as good as it is. I currently only own larry smith leather goods (wallet + key organizer+ and i love them..

I need my stuff to be sturdy, so I guess that I'm the same. Things that might be mostly aesthetic for most people, like solid and seamless joins, are dealmakers/dealbreaskers for me. Otherwise, I've had chains actually open up on me.I know that for most that is not an actual, physical, concern. But I'm special.
Seams should ALWAYS be soldered shut. I couldn't imagine putting my name on a product with an unfinished chain. Ew!
