Oh my. (Dig those white pedal shoes!)

I assume that Thracozaag has met Mr. Carpenter.

That's only a small (and conservative) inkling of what I saw of Mr. Carpenter's wardrobe.

In another video, where he places a board with a handle to cover an entire keyboard to smush all the keys down at once...I nearly lost it.

This all began with Virgil Fox.

Haha, yes indeed. Cameron did a rather amazing transcription of Pictures at an Exhibition recently.

I saw that video, also. (A "friend" sent them to me.) There have been other organists who have made transcriptions of "Pictures". I am not criticizing Mr. Carpenter, but I wonder if something a teacher once said to me about overly flamboyant conductors is not true in this case. He said, "Close your eyes. Doesn't sound half as good does it?" Perhaps, in his unique way, Carpenter is bringing the organ to an audience that would never think twice about going to a concert.

There's certainly that aspect of theatricality to it, no doubt, but he really is an excellent organist (although for my money Paul Jacobs is the best I've ever heard).
