So @whorishconsumer @Mghart @jmiller123 what’s your footwear of choice this summer?

btw because the parasite wont leave you can just hit « ignore » and it’s like he was never here!
Despite the temps being high, I still wear boots with jeans most days- RM Williams Gardener in black, RM Williams Yearling in brown, Tecovas tan suede cowboy boots are my go-to's.

On the other days or when I'm wearing shorts, I have a pair of Common Project Achilles in white which have been my beater shoes for a few years. I am also thinking of picking up a pair of Doek boat shoes in ecru

I've solely worn boots the past few years since those are my favorites and they're all I've had. Getting my Wheel Robe PTBs has really made me want to expand more in that direction though. They're seriously the most comfortable shoe I've got and I want to dabble in a slightly dressier heritage/americana style anyway.

In regards to Alden, do we consider them part of the repro fashion look because they have such a long history? I know there are recent companies from japan that are taking Alden vibes and making them for the JP market like Wheelrobe. I personally love my Alden saddles and I'm thinking of some V-tip's in the future. I don't dress super repro or Ivy but I feel like it fits.

Those vintage basketball shoes kinda remind me that I still want some Clinch boxing sneakers some day in the future when I move back to JP.
I would especially given how long they’ve been around. Some of the Japan market Alden’s from Lakota house I would love to get, same with Anatomica models.. the JP up charge puts them a bit more than what I’d pay for Alden though

Regarding Alden I think it fits the scene.

Those Clinch boxing boots are incredible and I’d love to have them too!

Even though summer has barely started, we should start to be seeing some fall previews here soon. I always look forward to fall/winter stuff as it’s just more fun to play with layering whereas summer is just about beating the heat.. Freewheelers has started doing previews for their stockists. If memory serves RMC will be next month.

Have you ever tried Shoes Like Pottery?

They are the most comfortable shoe I've tried on. It was the first time in a while that I actually worried about a piece of apparel wearing out -even though they are in a rotation of many many other shoes. I hope they last forever.

i have not tried them but I heard of them. I’ll consider when my Chuck 70’s give out.
