I have finally found my ideal sweatshirt. These two are from Buzz Rickson and for less than a buck fifty, I think they present an excellent value. The quality on these is great, with the grey feeling slightly heavier (maybe fluffier?) and a bit looser, although I just received the black today. It was surprisingly tough to find a sweat that had a tighter neckline and didn't extend too far past my waist. While a lot of places say to size up, I would stick to your usual size in these as they do loosen with wear. This is a 38-40 and I have a 40-41" chest.
Done and done ‘er.I would not attempt to take it right to the seam edge for your stated reasons. In most places it wouldn't show much at all as there is some leather that extends past that point. Where it does show I would hope that in time the fraying remains of the cupro would become a feature.
: )
If it looks really bad or compromises the stitch integrity I'll get it re-lined in a proper cotton.
Well, alone anyway. So cold and alone they will be
@peachfuzzmcgee I know what you mean, as I mostly like Brian’s boots for the style. That said, once you’re paying $1k+ for a pair of footwear that comes with some expectations I suppose in overall finish. Even my Clinch boots had a couple tiny things, but it was only a 6 month wait for those back in 2018. It’s all good though, I’m not gonna baby these anyway and in 6 months it won’t matter.
