I’m picking up the Double Helix version of that, in horsehide suede. They seem very amenable to minor adjustments since they build to order.

Just got the email about this. It looks great, would probably pick it up if I didn't have my LVC version. Love that color though

I gathered a lot of info on them but never handled any in person.

The way I could sum them up is that they are well built, usually well designed (although their innovation process is mostly using cool new hides on classic patterns), and not very well marketed.

They do a ton of R&D to come up with new types of finishing for their hides.

Does anyone here have experience with Y2 leather jackets? Curious to hear feedback.

I own the Y2 double rider based on @StrangeJeremy ‘s recommendation (and really, over and above attention to detail and patience with a leather noob). I wanted something with less adornments and this thing delivered. The leather has dimension and picks up light nicely, not always hitting a hard black, but also really showcasing the tea core dye process. Also, the leather is supple enough that break in time hasn’t been a pain. Love this thing so far. Probably not the most helpful, but I’m a fan!

This sums it up pretty well. They've been slept on for a long time. The product is excellent. I haven't picked up one for myself yet because there's just so many options but I intend to soon.

Posting this online in three places feels excessive, but here I am. All Japanese.

Non repro related, but just copped some JM Weston Golf derby’s which I think fits in well with these styles. Fingers crossed sizing works out

I have the Y'2 HR-01 Cross Zip Single Rider, in "vintage" horsehide. Don't know how that differs from regular horsehide, but Y'2 has a TON of finishes so yeah. It hasn't gotten much play as it has been relatively warm, but from the few times that I've worn it, I love it. The leather and hardware are great, and I really dig the fit, it works well on 'western' type bodies IMO. I don't know why they don't get more love, at least on the forums.
