It’s been commented elsewhere on this forum that Dean Delray is somewhat lacking as an interviewer, but this interview with Jeremy and his partner Neil includes a lengthy discussion of Real McCoy’s:

@StrangeJeremy you and I have a connection in Yuki Matsuda - I also met him through a profile piece I wrote on him around 2011, which led to a brief working relationship with him, although my work ethic was lacking at 25 and so we politely parted ways. I found it a novel bit of information that it was through your relationship that you were able to make inroads with Tsujimoto.

Dean's an interesting interviewer - his style is much less polished but it's also a bit more fun than talking to someone with An Agenda. We had a great time recording this.

@StrangeJeremy when is the Oakland store opening for in store shopping? I have to go up there and it would be great to stop in.

why is that? if anything brand becomes more accessible; apart from Standard & Strange, I am not aware of any other dealer in US, and Mr. P has a reasonable return policy, question is how deep will they go across categories.

Brand story dilution.

I'm only half-serious.

Mr Porter is a major retailer with an excellent roster of brands.

Whoa whoa whoa – let's not get carried away here.

I dunno. I guess my tastes aren’t as refined as the avg SF member since I actually like many of the brands stocked by Mr Porter. I am ok with that.

On this day in 2021 bry2000 was driven from The Hive on the charge of having fraternized with the mundane.

Maybe if I buy a few of those infernal seed packet T-shirts or a pair of those Tyrolean shoes, the Hive will take me back.

Don't go knockin' Tyrolean boots in the Japanese Repro thread. Yuketen did a pair with Heschung many years ago and at that time did a workup that was the Tyrolean last but on a flat rubber sneaker sole. It had yellow panels on the sides. I don't think it was ever sold at retail, or only very limited. I coveted that shoe for many years.

As for the seed Ts, I will admit I don't quite get it, although I would wear.

In truth, I don't know why I hang around here. I know almost nothing about clothes and even less about fashion.
