I don't really find heavy totes all that functional in the first place – I have a Frank Clegg leather tote with some bells and whistles, including a shoulder strap, and it's usually heavier than is really comfortable to have hanging from my shoulder. The strap was useful when at the airport recently, though.

Which is not to say fancy totes aren't nice to own or look at.

Do you recall which Clegg tote you have? I’ve debated getting one, or something like a smaller duffle for everyday use. I’ve been using a Filson one for years but an nice upgrade is long overdue

If you are looking for totes and over the shoulder bags check out jaugurdesign Judy makes bags, totes, over the shoulder styles. Many of the RRL stores will carry one or two of them (all are unique). Ralph and Ricky are seen carrying them and RL uses them on many of his runway models. I like the ones she makes from vintage Navajo rugs and old leather chaps.

I'm reaching critical mass on Japanese menswear mags – I have 24 more copies coming that I don't even want at this point (although will read).

I suppose my only resale options are the Bay. Undoubtedly there are buyers who don't want to contend with the cost of shipping from Japan (this last box cost over $200 to ship). However, I'm not really a seller at heart and I'm not looking to sit around with inventory for years.

Or maybe I'll move into a place with more space and decide to keep them.

Why are you buying stuff you don't want? And what's the good thing about those mags? I never did understand their allure...

I'm a fan of Clegg – I have this tote, a duffle, a dopp kit and I bought a purse for my stepmother. Admittedly, I don't have experience with other leatherworkers by which to compare, but I'd still recommend. The tumbled leather used on this model is very soft and so it doesn't stand up on it's own. It's durable, but scratches are likely and noticeable. The other grain leather totes use a textured tumbled leather, but I would expect they handle similarly. The harness belting leather used on the duffle is denser and holds it's shape, although it softens up pretty quick. It is not the density or stiffness of Equus bridle belts, for example.

I considered the small duffle instead of the tote, but concluded it would be too long and bulky for my purposes. You could also look at the "regular" tote (this one for example), which has a more traditional tote shape. The commuter tote is a rectangle and has panels at each side. Which is just an aesthetic difference.

Free & Easy features looks that represent (and defined) a style of Amekaji menswear for Japanese and American men alike. It features pretty pictures of vintage Americana while suggesting a modern lifestyle along with it. Basically, it's Americana Appreciation. Popeye is similar, except longer running, so the oldest issues also document different decades in American history.

Mine is a 42 and I couldn’t swing a 40 if I tried. I’m often a 40, but also often a 42. So far haven’t been a 44. 5’10’’ 187ish lbs with a 40’’ chest and a 36’’.

Short answer is no.
