I have been thinking about buying this sweatshirt from Warehouse. I want a shorter sweat, as I always use high rise jeans or trousers. The Buzz Rickson sweatshirt I have is short, but I feel its hem is too wide so that it doesn't sit "fitted" on the waist like, say, a Rubato knit. Does anyone have any experience with the Warehouse sweats, even fit pics? I am 190cm / 90kg, athletic, and was considering a size large.

Didn't want to ignore this I just don't have experience to provide and didn't want to reply with a useless comment. Like this one.

Hopefully someone else can step in with valuable knowledge. Maybe @shopcanoeclub? Although I don't know if they've ever carried Warehouse.

And then there’s this:

Wearing this type of thing would seem a bit of crass machismo in the states – which is the heritage it's borrowing from, I guess – but seems a bit fetishistic (on top of fetish) when you consider it worn by men overseas.

Frankly I just think that **** looks tacky. Then again I think thats the vibe it is trying to give out in a way, this sort of stuff even Japan is only worn by old dudes who don't really have style, they mostly just live collecting amekaji. It's definitely not something that would look cool in the us, although if it was vintage, it might get a pass.

I realize I’m probably on the wrong side of history here and not trying to offend but I think there’s a sizable difference between a painted poster type thing like that or a Betty Page old time image and if someone were to have a modern photo of current porno star in action on there clothing. Jacket seems quaint to me. Depending where you’re going to wear it, even in the US.

I'd agree as well. Pin-up art has a long history during that era with artists like Elvgren and Vargas. It was also used in a lot of advertising as well back when ads were all illustrations done by hand. I don't think I could personally pull off a jacket like that, but I can certainly appreciate the art.

I just ordered a warehouse loopwheel full zip. May not be the exact same thing but I’ll post my thoughts in a week or so when it comes in.

I have tried on similar lot numbers at the store in tokyo and I will say that a size large is kind of a relaxed fit bordering fitted. it really depends on the lot model because they all fit a little differently. The 461 lot is 23in width so personally that would be a relaxed fit for me with a 36in chest. If you really want the hem to be fitted on the waist you may be better off going with the lot. 401 or lot. 403 and sizing down for a more fitted look.

Also I would order off the warehouse site directly, cheaper than Clutch which charges double and they'll ship overseas

I thought about ordering direct from warehouse too but in the case of the lot 451 hoodie I bought it was $210 with free shipping and no tax from James Dant vs 18500 yen +whatever their ship cost is. I figured I would rather just go with a straightforward method to avoid any potential confusion with ordering from japan. That said, clutch cafes prices are high unless they deduct VAT, but I haven’t looked into that

Standard and strange carries Warehouse. They also have loopwheels from real mccoys that I ended up ordering because warehouse was out of stock. Really great sweatshirt that’s become a go to.

Good point, I forgot about vat deduction on eu stores

They really are great but too short for my personal taste. I hate it bc the faded warehouse crewnecks are so good but I know it'll look weird on me

These are the photos of my Real McCoy's N-1 deck jacket . I think it's a great fit and I can wear a sweatshirt or knit underneath. That said, the alpaca wool lining is pretty warm. I went with the advice on https://therealmccoys.com/products/n-1-deck-jacket-plain

@jmiller123 , it's snug at the armpits but I'm fine with that.

I usually wear a 40 but sized down to a 38 and think it works well. See what you think.

@m.ello, @whorishconsumer and @hobojones, thank you for your thoughts! First off, I live in Finland, and would rather shop either in the EU or in the UK than order from Japan (I have done that for some JDM watches in the past, but I really dislike how long it often takes!). Clutch seems to be the only European site carrying that model. Secondly, as for being better off buying the 401, I really dislike the set-in sleeves those models have, especially when they are drop-shouldered. I've found that with my forward-rounded shoulders and slightly winged scapula, that kind of shoulder looks rather messy on me :)

My chest is about 112cm, so I'd want a sweatshirt to have a pit to pit measurement of at least 57-58cm (or 23"). At the same time, I'd like the length to be around 60cm or 24", and the hem to be quite fitted. Seems to be rather difficult to find that kind of combination! Perhaps I'll just order the Warehouse sweater from Clutch and report back how it fits.

EDIT: And @Gerry Nelson, that jacket looks amazing on you! Just the right size and fit.
