Definitely going to go to McCoys to show him. Was also planning to go warehouse even though it's tiny and trophy clothing because I like their dirt denim.

Although not repro, we are also going to hot the Kapital stores in Ebisu

Any recommendations for work chambray shirts that are designed/sized for the Japanese customer (fits my body better)?

I'm looking for brands that make nice, faithful repros of old work chambray shirts like Buzz Rickson's?

Any more obscure brands I may have not heard of?

Cheers!

I’d probably be looking at brands like Jelado, Deluxware, maybe UES. Those brands tend to skew smaller in sizing overall. Jelado might be the most repro, but in general chambray work shirts are typically going to run boxy as it is. May be worth sizing down perhaps for brands like RMC or Freewheelers.

You're right about the fit

My issue is really just the length and the sleeves.. but I guess chambray shirts often are made longer in the sleeve and are rolled up. Not sure if they're intentionally designed that way.

What are your favourite chambrays?

On another note..

Do you know of any denim brands that offer shorter inseams too? Similar to how Resolute offers their models in various inseams.

I feel like altering a pair of denim ruins the taper, which is why I'm looking for brands with multiple inseam options

I’ve had chambrays from freewheelers and Timeworn clothing only, but they’re all pretty standard for the most part to be honest. Details will always slightly differ if it’s a work shirt, or a more Naval inspired chambray.

Looking to maybe try one from Anatomica this year as they make a ‘big yank’ vintage style one.

hmmm that’s probably it for Sydney then, other stores tend to stock more of the Beams/Orslow/Kapital etc Japanese brands. If you’re heading to Melbourne too then check out Urahara and Urban Lupe

Awesome--thanks dude. I don't think I'll make it to Melbourne. Currently just spending 8 days in Sydney and maybe head to NZ for a few days after.
