The Ivy Uniform: Khakis and a Grey Shetland Sweater

Or so I'm told it was about 50 years ago. Which was more typical; mid-grey or a charcoal grey? Tradition aside, which of those two options looks better?

Entirely depends on you, man. A grey shetland sweater is a nice sweater, and understated in either shade. Go with your gut.

I'm wearing my light gray crewneck today. I like it, but it's cotton. I would prefer a mid-gray Shetland to a charcoal -- but I look bad in dark colors. If I had dark hair, I'd think about charcoal.

Of course, my shetlands are green and mid-blue, so...
