I just received the Miller jacket the other day.

1000

I went with my standard jacket size of 40 and it offers a trim, true to size fit.

The fabric is just as nice as I hoped. Very lightweight even as a double layer (the jacket body lining uses the same cotton as the outside). Construction looks good out of the box.

The jacket has a lot of things that are different about it (aside from the print cotton fabric): the roped shoulder, the shawl collar, single button, slanted pockets that are sort of an inset patch. It's without a doubt not just a blazer in a loud print. It's a different beast.

Production time and delivery were exactly as promised. Communication from Ikire Jones was excellent.

I'm very optimistic about Ikire Jones as a project and looking forward to more. Trying not to somehow rationalize buying the safari jacket. Very very tempting. But it also seems as if some interesting things should be coming for F/W too... :decisions:

Some very nice things.

Casentino coat, Safari jacket and tunics all look great. I like the way IJ does collars.

BTW Had the Ballotelli on in southern weather recently.

The Ebo Taylor track for the film is excellent (as is the film itself). I was not familiar with him before hearing this.

W.O.E, a couple of questions:

What weight is the navy wool flannel used for the Adélékan?

On the Adéniyi Casentino:
Is the cloth a wool blend or 100% wool?
It looks as if there's just one button. Is that right?
How long is the coat?

Hi frank,
The Casentino coat is 100% wool.
I can get you length measurements sometime this week. my personal sample is actually being shortened for me (because I'm a near midget by American standards) at the moment, so I can't check.
It should hit right above the knee for most people though.
There are two buttons, but the 2nd one is higher up under the lapel.
It's almost like a 2roll1, if that makes any sense, and if that's even a thing.

I'm actually not sure of the flannel weight.:embar:
Sourced from a local dealer who isn't very scrupulous with his records.
It's certainly fall/winter appropriate though.

And yeah, Ebo Taylor is pretty fantastic.
This song in particular off his latest album is great.
Don't understand a word of it, but the horns are amazing.

Great. Thanks. Hitting at the knee sounds right.

And 2 roll 1 is a thing now. Right here. :)

No worries about the flannel weight. I guess I'm wondering if it is suiting weight (assume the answer is yes) as opposed to something heavier. Seems as if the F/W 13 wool jackets were pretty standard (maybe medium) suiting weight.
