He inherited much from his father, a steel baron in India. He has continued the steely ways around the world.

Is not Lakshmi N. Mittal an Indian businessman who resides in London? I believe some sort of metal company. I am not sure.

Contrary to all the experiences on the board I have been met by grace in all the various stores. Hermes was quite nice I thought; the salespeople were all Japanese. As well as Prada, and Veneta.

Vero, come off it, he is someone I know very well, though he did inherit some from his father, the ISPAT empire did not grow until he took over.

I'm not denying he isn't successful. I'm just saying he didn't start from scratch that's all (like some other billionaires). He grew up relatively privileged, esp. for India. Nothing wrong with that though. More power to him. He's a steel industry juggernaut, no doubt about it.

I was not saying you denied that he was successful; I am just saying that he made more money by himself. Although, I agree that the backing does make things easier.

Actually, the game is kind of getting old now. If you wish to be known, just tell us; if you don't wish to be known, stop showing off and just recede back into reclusion. We will respect your privacy either way.

I am Logan Flatt, management/turnaround/financial consultant cum hedge fund manager based in Dallas, Texas USA. I too am rich, though likely not as rich as you.

    Hi.

An investigative journalist would probably have figured this out by now, but I'm not, and honestly, Kalra, I think that circles that we travel in are so different that it you would probably actually have to be Richard Branson for me to recognize you, unless you are a celebrity in something other than business. All the people I know are scientists or people involved in the arts, and by and large, we think of money as something we need to support our research (or art) and pay the rent (as well as buy the occasional pair of sneakers.)

If you are keen on someone figuring out your identity, here are some suggestions for everyone else. He is associated with Lakshmi Mittal, probably by marriage. I think that Kalra is in fact a surname - the maiden name of his wife, perhaps? His offices are in Bank, which is in central London, near the London Bridge, if I remember correctly. Plus, we have the initials OGL. But probably, the easiest thing to do would be to get someone to just run his plates - you wouldn't even have to figure out which out of the 100 Veyrons owners he is.

Whatever. Also, vero, your insistence that there are the deserving rich (who earn their wealth) and the undeserving rich (who inherit it) is becoming increasingly annoying.

You do know that I'm empathetically *not* rich, right?
