Who are folks happily using for denim alterations? I have a pair that I want to taper.

Wazin will cost a fortune. Bhambi won’t be cheap either.

Do you need the buttonholes to be done by hand? Can save money if you have someone do them by machine and I don’t you will care once they are done.

I agree, though if you have a handmade buttonhole that has the stitching falling apart, you will need to have it redone by hand. Just pointing this out as I had this issue recently.

I've had success with Jonathan Buttonholes in the past - with very handsome machinework - but I would like handmade if possible.

I would note that I think Wazin will do handmade assuming your jacket has handmade buttonholes already (e.g. front buttons)--if not then I would make sure to clearly mention you want the handmade ones.

Hi- it depends if they are selvedge or not. If they are not, then can taper from the outside seam and anyone can do it. If they are taper and you want to preserve it, and not make the selvedge look different, then it need to be done from the inside inseam and it’s a harder job. I’ve tried many tailors and most do a sloppy job so you can see where the thread starts and ends.

The ONLY place that I will now use to taper denim is BROOKLYN Denim Co. In Williamsburg.

I have a selvedge pair that requires fairly basic hemming. Is there anyone in manhattan or Brooklyn you’d recommend?
Someone who can get it done quickly would be great...

I have a D'avenza cashmere coat that needs some small changes on the half-belt on the back (mainly just the length) but I'd like to have it done quick.

Who is good but has a fast turn around?
