As for your experiences, it's clear that it's not easy for suit baotou to make good tailored jeans due to the fact that denim is quite a different fabric. However, did you have any good experience with the leather baotou making jeans? Other than that seems that "Full House Denim & Workshop" is the only other alternative (at HKD $1680).

after I got 2 tailor made jeans from 2 different suit baotou, I stopped. they explained to me their equipments don't do well with denim fabric and metal buttons.

I heard from leather jacket baotou, they always make jeans for export business, ie. tailor made for rich & famous (bespoke tailor shop customers) and international brand names. Their equipments can do well with denim and metal buttons.

Look at the end products of "Full House Denim & WorkShop", I don't see details, only the basic. For a bit higher price, I prefer Take5 or Levis with Japanese denim. Instead of Evisu for $3.xk bespoke tailor made, I purchased 2 brand names with Japanese denim for $4k each in Times square. There are many different grades of Japanese denim, don't have time to shop for the right Japanese denim.

If you are new to Japanese denim, check take5, they got a few different *** denim. They are too heavy for me.

Japanese cutting Vs Italian cutting,
If you are a tall and big guy, *** cutting is not right for you. take5 offers *** cutting only. I buy from brand names because they got the right *** denim fabric and the right cutting for me.

tailor made jeans make trouble when the tailors didn't do the right things, metal buttons fall.

Can anyone comment on the cost of having some pants altered in HK. I am looking to reduce the waist and shorten the inseam by an inch or so. Could you tell me what I should expect to be charged. BTW I am not looking for anything fancy, in fact it would be great to know the costs related to a low to mid range tailor

If you were to go to @PekingRoadHK 's blog (http://suitcmt.blogspot.com/), Jane Kwok charges around $80 per part. So $80 for the waist, and 80 for the inseam. She's where a lot of the designer stores go to for alterations.

For those of you that worked with Michael Che before, unfortunately he passed away in the last few days.
I first discovered Michael via this forum and enjoyed his expertise in being a ‘middle man’ and providing good quality suits at affordable prices.

Has anyone in Hong Kong been able to find Loro Piana jersey shirting fabric (similar to https://www.100hands.nl/collections/shirts/products/loro-piana-navy-jersey)?

I have been asking a few tailors and fabric stores and many of them don't have jersey fabric.

Does anyone have a recommendation for where to alter the sleeves of a suede jacket in HK?
I have a nice suede jacket... that needs their sleeves shortened by an inch-ish. My usual tailor doesn't have the right threads for it and recommended I find someone who specialises in such work.
