1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Yikes, is that how you speak to people in real life? I hope not.

I'm just offering an opinion, I have said I'm just starting out and he is free to ignore me. If my opinion was way off, please correct me. Your "burn it" rhetoric is entertaining but not very helpful for the poster. From your post count I can see you've been on this site a long time and are no doubt past suffering fools gladly, but please try to be constructive and civil regardless. I'm sure that you were inexperienced in matters of the cloth yourself once.

I think jeans is a different animal from normal tailoring and you need a special sewing machine to make it In Japan, there may be a MTM jeans but not sure.
If you try raw denim which is shrink to fit, you have a chance of better fitting jeans?

If you criticise people you must expect the favour to be returned.

You could try to deliver your message without superfluous bluntness and rudeness. Takes minimal skill and effort....

I don't think he criticized at all. Why not be civil to someone who is upset about spending a lot of money on a product they are not happy with?

I can vouch for Chan, especially if Patrick's around, so with GBR's recommendation for GY, seems like you really can't go wrong.

    Chan is good.
I think GY a bit too mature for u-30 guy.

Btw, it seems takes longer time to get a suit done at Chan....
Price goes higher as well ..:-/

I've used Chan in the last but I fear that they have expanded too much and that Patrick is spread too thinly. I do not have that concern with Gordon.

Disagree, GY is fine with all demands, don't worry about that.

I've heard these claims in this thread of late. When, approximately, did this decline start? My last order from Chan was in the course of their summer tour in 2012, and I could not descry any noticeable decline in fit or quality in the suit I received a few months later.

    Hello Gentlemen,

Without make any suits from Chan or Gordan Yao, I don't know I am qualify to make solid comments but please allow me to say something.

Long time ago, I went with a friend to have a fitting with Chan, Patrick fitted the jacket very nicely. It made me interested in Chan's work. Later, when Armoury newly opened, I dropped in and see Alan was wearing a Chan's suit. From my eyes, it was an excellent suit. Alan was very kind to explain Chan's work to me and let me see the jacket. Up to that time, it was the best suit which I had seen are made by a HK tailor. Recently, I have a friend who wear a suit made by Gordan, it fits very well providing my freind's body figure is difficult to fit. Both tailors are top in HK.

One major point for selection is Chan does not accept CMT while Gordan does. If I select an entry fabric such as VBC 110, I select Chan because price is similar to Gordan. However, if i like to have better fabrics such as Fox flannel. Chan's price will almost double Gordan's price providing I bring the fabric by myself ( which I can order directly).

More comments from other gentlemen are highly appreciated.
