We both agreed that it wasn’t an ideal situation and he said that the trouble spots on my suit were unacceptable and well below their typical standard. And rather than waste time on trying to solve the issues with this suit, they would start over and provide a brand new suit free of charge. Wasn’t expecting that tbh. He marked up the original suit and took all my measurements once again. We also discussed some additional improvements. He suggested getting one with a button for security (wallet) and leaving the other one without for easy access. I also pointed out how I carry my keys on a carabiner on my right side belt loop and try to tuck the hanging keys into my back pocket. They could align the belt loop to be exactly where I want it to ensure the keys stay tucked into my back pocket. Little things like that I’m excited about because they fit my specific personal habits and make it easier for me in my daily life.

This most recent experience turned my impression around and I wanted to be fair to them by sharing it here on this thread. Once I get my new suit back I’ll be sure to post again to get another round of honest feedback but right now I’m just glad they were willing to resolve my frustrations to keep me happy.

That sounds really good customer service. Look forward to seeing the new suit!

They may well have become aware of your posts and it could thus appear sensible to them to appear to be 'generous' to redeem themselves.

Thanks @bamboo! That is very good to hear. Do you know if Andy outsources any stage of the making to workers in Shenzhen/Guangzhou? Or is this a 100% "made in HK" operation?

Good call on the one piece, I actually had a similar problem with my first one piece collar shirt from an Australian tailor. The fusing was far too stiff. The thing basically ended up looking like a starchy oxford cloth button down!

I don't have a good place to take selfie photos to show a proper fitting. To give you an idea of real life clothing by SA. Cloth is fresco.

Should be starting from HKD7/8k. They only have MTM if I'm not mistaken. Are you planning to do one with them?

I see. Yeah I'm interesting in having a suit made by them, I quite like their house style. I prefer going with house styles when they know what they're doing. Too many options usually mean potential for disaster.

I've just worked with Jerry from Prologue to held a trunkshow in Malaysia for the past weekend. I personally ordered a suit and a sports jacket with them. Looking forward to the next fitting session.

Are you based in HK? If so, maybe just drop by their shop to try on their fitting suit, see how it looks on you.

Yes, I'm going to be in Hong Kong for 3 weeks, I was born there and visit often and most certainly will be dropping by their store. I was wondering, how did ordering process go? I presume its MTM?

As mine is via a trunkshow, my ordering process might be slightly different. Jerry flew over to KL with few books that's suitable to our tropical weather (Dugdale NFW, Fresco, H&S cool breeze, Loro Piana Traveller etc.) and all I need to do is choose the cloth that I want and he takes my measurement. I will get a fitting session next (somewhere in Dec/Jan) and will see how it goes from there.

If you can visit their shop in HK, I presume you can try on their fitting garment and they will do the measurement/adjustments from there. Yes, it will be a MTM process.

@benjamin831, just to give you my erstwhile 10 cents. I've been an occasional Prologue customer for about 9 months now (i.e. 1 suit, 1 pair of trou). From personal experience, I can confirm that Jerry is rather wed to a house style - classic Neapolitan.

As for pricing, I paid just under 10K for a suit made in one of the luxury mohair bunches (Dugdale). Hope that helps.

Thanks for the info, it certainly helps! How long did it take from placing your order to product-in-hand?
