I'm in the process of making a suit from Moustache on Aberdeen st. Run by two american guys. Looking forward to my second fitting this week. So far so good though, they close the shop when they do your fitting, and they're quite detail oriented.

Ok, but they are not tailors and also the suit is fused, as far as I know. I wish you luck.

I made a few phone calls today and spoke to the proprietors personally. I got the following prices for a CMT suit, fully canvassed.

Peter Lee quoted me HKD3,500 for a jacket, HKD1,100 for pants and HKD1,200 for a vest.

Y William Yu wanted HKD5,000 for the suit, HKD1,300 for a vest.

Gordon Yao wants HKD7,500 for the suit, HKD 2,200 for a vest.

All were very nice and accommodating. I'm surprised that Peter's prices have gone up so much.....

    But what about the fabrics?
These prices are the lowest he does for his standard fabric (whatever that may be)?

    Or you provide the fabric?

Yes, serious, they are "designer" as I know, but not fashion designer, so I really wish you luck.
I think the suit will be half fused half canvassed at best in this price.

Interesting, I don't know Gordon price go up that much. He charged me just 3,700 for a CMT jacket last year!

I will go to find out by myself on Sat.

I'm interested as well, I emailed Gordon before the new year and his price was in the 5000 range. I'm secretly hoping the 7500 quote included cloth.

5000 range is what I thought. I will find it out this afternoon. Will report back later.

Hmm... I visit Gordon today, and yes, his price is going up especially on CMT. For the new customers, he is enforcing the new price. For the old customers, now is in a "grace period," but it won't last long.
So, sorry guys, have to say this poor news.
