What... You're in the best tailoring land in Asia and you're wasting your precious money on those ugly baotou stuff...?
I can't imagine wasting money this way, but I guess if one's rich enough then you're free to blow it whatever way you want...

#1,726 is an example from Tokyo expressing interest in HK Baotou, this is real.

I don't think so. I heard sales people from tailor industry also go baotou for good suits and save lots of money.
but they don't want consumers to go baotou, because they know tailor shops will lost business to baotou.

Orazio is a fairly middle of the road Neapolitan style if that’s what you’re after. Everything is fairly middle of the road and not too extreme.

that's a good product.

Wong SY sifu told me he got many positive feedbacks from consumers who enjoy good suits. I also like his Italian cut.

sure, sales people from tailor industry always say that. sounds like someone always asking people how to define Shanghai workmanship and says everyone is wrong, but he fails to define Shanghai workmanship.

sales people from tailor industry should not go baotou, all the good baotou are too busy to take orders from direct consumers, baotou don't want to serve jerks!

funny to hear tailor shop owners looking for Mirador baotou to take orders from tailor shops.
I understand there's no way we can come to an agreement on baotou vs tailor shops, I did not even want to attempt to discuss with you regarding this since our minds are pretty much set

But mate I'm talking about him being in Tokyo and there are sh!t loads of good tailors there, and they don't rely on baotous no?

another a/c was talking to him in Tokyo (#1,726)!
did you log in another a/c?

baotou in HK and tailors in Tokyo, they are located in 2 different places!
#1,728 and #1,730, I was talking about baotou and tailor shops in the same city (HK). They serve different types of consumers, and they are competing with each other in certain areas. This is happening in HK, this is real!

this thread is talking about HK:

---------------------

sh!t loads of good tailors world-wide, and China is still the world factory of many things including garment. the world is placing garment orders to China everyday, one of the channels is Mirador baotou! This is called "Globalization", and decoupling does not change the garment industry.

I can give you a few examples of Mirador baotou. Take a walk in this building, I found:
1) a few baotou taking overseas orders from airlines, chain restaurants, chain shops, large corporations world-wide, etc. they export uniforms to the world.
2) Designers and tailors from US and European brandnames go to baotou to make samples before they pass the orders to factories for mass production.
3) A few baotou make suits and garments to local and foreign TV and movie stars.

sh!t loads of tailors/designers/corporations rely on baotou in this building!
just look at this one building, over 100 baotou of all kinds of garment are there, behind them are millions of garment workers in mainland China! Baotou in this building have been exporting to the world since 1970's. They are a part of "Globalization"!

Gentlemen, we may well be witnessing the crumbling of a thread... brace yourselves

they are not following you to make off topic contents here, they know this thread is about baotou in HK, you don't know that? This is "The Hong Kong BaoTou Tailors and Fabric Shops for CMT Thread". You never learn from your mistakes, you have been to the wrong places.

sh!t loads of tailors/designers/corporations rely on baotou in this building!
Mirador Mansion in TST was loaded of baotou tailors working 24 hours a day, 365 days a year in the 70's and 80's. The world famous "made in HK" garment is no joke. This building is a part of that history. A number of sifu in this building has been around for over 5 decades, they witness everything. For decades, Tsengshing Guangzhou has been the world biggest jeans manufacturing center, baotou tailors come from Mirador HK. I got jeans from famous brands, if they are labeled "made in China", they're properly made in Tsengshing. Garment manufacturing moved to the north to become the world biggest factory, baotou tailors in Mirador are still taking a role in the global supply chain garment sector. They are a part of global economy, this is the reality of the other part of the world, still the same in 2022:
1) Baotou tailors are taking overseas orders from airlines, chain restaurants, chain shops, casinos, large corporations world-wide, etc. They export uniforms to the world. They also make clothers for beauty pageants!
2) Designers and tailors from US and European brandnames go to baotou to make samples before they pass the orders to factories for mass production.
3) A few baotou make suits and garments to local and foreign TV and movie stars, including hollywood stars.

If baotou tailors in Mirador are so bad, they couldn't survive for over 5 decades, they're still working, very busy everyday. Smart spenders go to the right baotou, you have been to the wrong tailors. That's the difference. Why go tailor of British cut for Italian cut? Just look at your Suzhou factory case of fallen shoulders and all your bullshit here, you still don't know what your problems are.

--------------------
Smart spenders go to the right baotou. We know what we want! Not only Ng sifu, Wong SY sifu also told me he is very busy. #1,642 is real:

I asked a few baotou tailors about their business in the past 2 years of pandemic. All shirt baotou said they have been very busy. For suit baotou, some say "not too much business". Some say "very busy". That tells which sifu consumers pick most.

Ng sifu said he has been super busy for the past 2 years. He got 3 different bespoke tailor shop owners claimed as ordinary consumers in this 2 years, they ordered suits from Ng to test his works. All shop owners of bespoke tailor shops were satisfied with the end products with one fitting. They asked Ng sifu to take orders from their tailor shops. Ng sifu said he has been too busy with direct customers, he has no time for these 3 tailor shops. I asked Ng why he rejected them. Ng said his team is too small, he cannot take too many orders since he has to keep the quality. He is very happy as direct customers are so supporting to his works. He explains all sifu in Mirador are just making a buck to survive, they are not making big business.

Does Wong SY have an instagram ? I want to see more of his works

I helped many baotou tailors for their web things. My blogs shows only a few baotou, because some baotou are loaded with orders from direct consumers, they don't have time to serve new customers, that's why my blogs don't show all baotou names. Most of them can take photos and post photos to their FB IG Pinterest google by their cell phones. Some of them are young enough to communicate with foreigners with Google translate, a few are taking overseas orders by whatsapp and wechat pay (FinTech). Some don't want to do much online things, they don't post new things on the web. A few make post to show their daily life to their family and friends overseas, they don't just post their end products. Unlike tailor shops, baotou have different reasons to do their online things. That's why you see they don't always post their end products online. You can't expect they have quaility photos on the web as tailor shops do.

Yeah I've heard Huntsman had to beg Ng to teach them British tailoring skills...

You are repeating nonsense again. We don't need to go Savile Row tailors in London for a suit of British cut. Smart consumers go to the right baotou for the right products. #401 is an example of a smart consumer from UK going to Ng sifu for British cut. You want Italian cut, you go to tailors that do Italian cut for you. You have been to the wrong places, why complain Chinese restaurants for Italian pasta?

#1,531 is your Savile Row standard sample, it failed your test by your standard:

don't make similar Suzhou factory mistakes again:
