Guest houses are not allowed in our neighborhood per HOA guidelines. I guess pleb HOAs don't allow nice things.

when we got the master bath back from the contractor the caulking around the base of the toilet had a little gap at the very back , when i saw it for the first time i was not bothered i figured if anything happened to the plumbing it would indicate any issues ...

... so this morning i saw a little bit of color on the base of the toilet back there i investigated and sure enough a bit of water registered . called the contractor over he came by and said yep install needs to be re-sealed . it turned out that he leaves the gap in the caulking for exactly this reason .

I've been to 5 out of the Top 15, including the #1 and I wouldn't want to go back to visit, let alone to live in any of them. Mind you that's pretty much how I feel about the USA in general unless a hell of a lot changes.

Actually, of all the neighborhoods they could have picked, Roger’s Park has some pretty sketchy areas. I certainly wouldn’t live there.

The area by the lake is sketchy and the west side is filled with Trump lovin super Orthodox Jews. The whole thing is pretty far from downtown too so you might as well just live in Evanston.
