We sold our place to an i-buyer recently. Didn't want to bother with showing it and negotiating with buyers with ridiculous demands (replace those 3 year old windows and cut my grass for 18 months after closing) and sketchy financing. Went pretty well I must say, and although I am sure we could have gotten a better price going the traditional route, the painless experience was well worth it.

Noticed that the pex water main in my furnace room is sweating. Weird as I don't remember it sweating last year. I assume it's because the furnace room is warm and humid from the gas furnace and water heater? Anything else I should do other than insulate the pipe?

Any one familiar with firebacks? I am considering getting one for my fireplace to protect part of the interior and hopefully project more heat into the room. I'm wondering if they're truly effective at projecting heat.
