Lol, like Omega Male is actually cooking or doing anything. It’s his servants paid for by his alpha as phuck wife doing the work.
Anybody watch White Lotus? Is Steve Zahn's character based on OM?

No no no no. These are far more reassuringly expensive and let you specify (doubtlessly inferior) fire glass.

And you can cook over it like a real man.

They have a yard in the back of this pic but decided to build a fire next to that building. Kind of dig the look of this but would likely buy it and never use it.

There's been one of those solo stove fire pits (either the small or mid size, not sure) in the REI "Garage Sale" section for a while now.

It has a defect in the top rim weld that creates a little bit of a sharp edge but shouldn't matter for function...but they haven't marked it down enough yet for me to impulse buy it...

They also have a hydroflask soft cooler with a busted zipper that's been there for like 6+months. Occasionally they slap another slightly cheaper pricetag on it but they are going down in like $5 increments so it is still >$100. Who would pay that much for a cooler that can't be closed? They are like welded integral zippers, so I don't think it would be repairable (at least not by an ordinary seamstresss).

If steel isn't your style and you don't need mobility, you can also fairly easily build a traditional looking firepit that wo rks on the same concept:

Just had a bourbon with a neighbor and we got on the subject of lawn care (he knows i like to do it as a hobby/for exercise) and how much to water.

i said it depends on how hot/humid it is, rainfall, etc (pretty basic things).

He said 1 inch of rain/irrigation per week. No matter what. (Gotta love people who speak in absolutes… i had a college professor in engineering school who said the mark of a good engineer is that they never will speak in absolutes… good guy, but I digress)

I said what if its 99% humidy and 100 degrees vs 50% humidity and 80.

He said it doesnt matter.

I said it matters, just like it matters if it rains.

he said i was wrong

my next house will be in the mountains on a lake with no people for miles.

So grade, soil, weather all dont matter?

It must be nice to have a simple and closed mind. Very restful.

What makes it worse is that i rarely talk to neighbors and am not really an outgoing/friendly person.

But when he started asking me about a subject he knows i was into i decided to get out of my comfort zone and try to be “neighborly”.

i wont make that mistake again.

we didnt get that far… if you cant understand that when its hotter, grass (or most living things for that matter) need more water… soil type would be like teaching quantum mechanics.

I have a little camping stove that works the same way. It's insanely efficient and weighs less than 2 oz.

Probably not the same effect to sit around it with friends and share some drinks and conversation. YMMV. ;)
