Pine straw is a no no around here. Too flammable. Our insurer won't even allow mulch in any bed < 10 ft from a structure.

We did a herringbone in black. Considering the ceilings are 3m and we prefer the rest white it seemed like a good idea. Very happy how it turned out, especially with the banding on the side. But....the little one in the picture does bring back a lot of sand, which is quickly visible in this color scheme.

It’s doable. A lighter color would be easier, but so far it doesn’t scuff much. Some light scratches here and there, but you have to know they are there. If you don’t have a dog and don’t wear shoes indoors it’s not a problem.Oh dang I like that! Very bold. Did the black show scuffs easily?
