Bullet dodged: the contractor is convinced if we start on the structural **** we'll wind up rebuilding the entire damn garage, but there's no risk of it going anywhere at this point. Think we'll just kick that can down the road for now, especially since we've already exhausted the building reserves on painting and waterproofing the main structure so fixing anything else will mean another assessment.

Years and years ago a friend of mine rented this very nice house in a very hip part of town. I essentially lived there half the time, and on one particular occasion while really quite intoxicated I took a bath there, and I kept filling it up to the brim, and then water slowly went through the over-flow. Then I would fill the tub back up. I did that for perhaps six hours, while everyone else was passed.

Turned out that there was no drain connected to the overflow, so all that water just poured down the walls, poured onto the ceiling drywall--the ceiling drywall actually fell out in certain areas as it was so saturated. I remember hearing my dear friend whelp in horror when he saw the damage. Luckily we knew some people who knew some people and we had everything good-enough; we all crossed our fingers hard-core when it was move-out time that the landlord wasn't going to notice anything, and nothing was noticed, security deposits collected $$$.

The moral of the story is; give how much everything else seems fucked in VV's lovely new house, he probably should check the tub drains. Especially if he ever wants me to visit.

I bought some coke off a guy in the bathroom, was about to take it into the stall, and the dealer got ******* pissed. He basically yelled at me that we're in Costa Rica, you break that **** out on the ******* bathroom counter. So I snorted coke off the bathroom counter in a Costa Rican bathroom.

Yeah that's the landlord's fault though. It's the landlord's responsibility to properly install the tub according to code.

See this is the problem with landlord-tenant relationship. Your friend is thinking "I'm not going to get my security deposit back" when they should be thinking "my landlord did not properly install this bathtub holy **** it could have fallen through the floor and killed me."

p.s. if you ever visit there is a strict ban on "games" named after a certain type of candy type of candy
