Attic lighting was a success. Took me a long time to figure out exactly how to do it with the flex duct in the way. I did not want to remove the duct, and I did not want to drill the rafters.

I live in the Capitol Hill neighborhood in Washington, DC. Most lots here are closer to 1,500 square feet, which is reasonably smaller than the 2,200 square feet lot of that place. If I see a place listed for $850K around me, it’s generally a gut renovation. You’re not allowed to knock down because it’s a historic district. Land is expensive in cities.

Loving our new refrigerator as I did not realize how much I hated our old side by side. While I am fine with this one choice, I am wondering what testing GE did to think it would work well for most Americans. The water dispenser is on the inside left of the fridge. When you open the left door on its own, it is uncomfortable even for my smaller frame to dispense water with one hand let alone two. Even when you open both doors it is still not comfortable. Due to the larger size of most Americans, I feel like this fridge is self-selecting on potential buyers as the water dispenser sucks. The image below must be fake.

I mean this one might as well not have one but it seems like there are a lot more fridges offered with interior dispensers to make the outside cleaner.
