I lived in a house with a fuse box in college. It was a pain ********** because it was a single family converted to multi-unit. The circuits spanned units, so my lights would go out if my neighbor used a hair dryer or whatever. That place was a dump, and it was actually college-owned off-campus housing.

Wish I knew the penny trick back then.
