I love my porter cable stuff. Had for 5+ years, 20v, powerful. Sadly, they seem to be going the way of the dino bottle that lowes has the craftsman crap now

Most of my own tools are either hand tools or pneumatic (pro mechanic, yo), but my buddy who hosts the race car has a Team Red battery tool setup, and them ***** is sweet. Their range of tools goes well outside home gamer stuff, but for us it's perfect. The 18V power ratchet is one of the best tools I've ever used. It gets used heavily and drooped frequently, and it keeps going. He recently picked up the mini portable bandsaw, and that's a gem, too.

When I was in aircraft we would have to remove and replace a couple hundred screws from a stress access panel with one of these

I love my bosch brushless 12v drill and impact set.

Their range is pretty limited, and I would look elsewhere if I were buying into an 18v system...but great tools.

I want to get their little rotary tool--it is literally the exact same tool as the 12v Dremel except the plastic is shaped to accept a bosch battery instead of a Dremel battery.

Unfortunately, they don't sell it in the USA and the only ones you can buy are like $130 for a bare tool, while you can get a dremel with battery and accessories for like $75 and a bare tool for like $50. I'm considering just buying the dremel and sawing away the plastic to make the battery fit.

I bought a 1/4" speed brace, and it turns out I never used it. Live and learn.

I bought a t-post puller to remove posts around trees which had obviously outgrown the need for them. Watched videos, read the 2 paragraph manual and spent all weekend trying to get them out. Ended up digging down and cutting them with an angle grinder.
Sometimes “right tool for the job” is bollocks.
