Cleared to close.

And now the seller offered us the telephone booth because she's worried she'll ding up the house removing it. My wife kind of wants it, but I am talking her out of it. It's a cool object in theory, but it's just going to take up space. Then it becomes our problem to move.

If we held out we probably could have gotten the piano for free, too, after she realized no one was going to buy it for $3000.

At the rate you were going you were going to end up with every other floorboard removed , every third shingle (her favorites), 17 1x3 foot carpet squares removed (Where he old cat used to love to snuggle) and no windows. Plus, you would have gotten the house for $17 and an in-kind trade for 2.7 million Pokemon cards because she was worried about estate taxes. The lady seems like a loon

Looking to buy my first house. I'm intending on renting it out and living elsewhere. Going to offer cash. Any general advice? Things I should ask the realtor when I see it in person? How much under asking price is acceptable to offer?
What state?

I'd be cool with her removing and replacing the damaged floorboards as a memento.

Rural MN. You guys might have the wrong idea, this is a 50k small house and I'm not risking my life savings on it. If it looks like I need to do little or no renovations or upgrades, I might buy it.

Near Duluth? Can I borrow it for the month of February?

I peruse Slickdeals often and see these type of sets come up, https://slickdeals.net/f/14656415-c...set-cmmt98077-99-at-lowe-s?page=4#commentsBox

What would actually be considered "better quality" and "necessary" tool set to keep at home?
So, I am going to make the assumption that since you are asking, you aren't a major home improvement guy, or making a living using your tools you just want to have what you need to tinker or fix what needs to be fixed.

That said, I have been a huge fan of my harbor freight mechanics set. Good tools, lifetime warranty on them, comfortable to use. I have craftsman tools as well, and I don't like the "new" craftsman from lowes as much any more, but that is preference.

I rate myself at about a 9 on the "how much do you work on your house". Scale, and I have never needed a more professional set of basic tools.

You can always start with a set like the one you link of the HF version and add specialty tools as needed at whatever quality you want. For example, I have a festool sander, but a harbor freight basin wrench

That is my suggestion all in all!
