Is the mud good and thinned?

Probably not, but I thought 2nd coat didn’t get much thinning if at all?

I may be too old to learn how to feather out drywall.

I mean not literally, but I’m old enough that I’ve got better uses of my time.

Those people are wizards. I’m trying to put a level 2 over the fire tape in my garage so I can slap some paint on it. Doesn’t need to be pretty but man…I am slow AF and it looks terrible.

My hole patches look fine but my tape lines are embarrassing.

I don't hire people to do work I'm capable of. Drywall is an exception. Those guys are worth every penny they charge.

Been 30+ years since I did a couple of summers drywalling but we'd always thin it down to like a runny pancake batter like consistency for skim coating.

Particularly bad year for crabgrass, so I sprayed some selective herbicide.

Crazy thing is my neighborhood in Brooklyn is more expensive on a $/sqft basis than the one I’m going to in Manhattan
