Don't have Sonos, but can't you control via a phone web browser like Chrome, and avoid the app all together?

Even on a computer it's still an app, it's just the desktop app doesn't seem to have been impacted by whatever they did to the phone app. The phone app takes forever to load your system now.

Okay. I thought you could maybe login to your account via the website directly, and also control from there as an option.

I have spent more money at Home Depot in the past week than I have in my entire life.
Me too

Also with the newborn brain fog I have both been there twice as many times as it should take (seriously, it took me like 4 trips to buy the right number and variety of outlet switch plates) and have spent way too much time standing in aisles with decision paralysis. I’m pretty sure I looked at ladders for a solid hour a few days ago…

the backyard redevelop is finally gaining steam , we're establishing spot elevations for regrading , then it's the big dig and hardscape , and should have plenty of time to plant in Sep / oct .

so nice to get off the paper and into the ground !

I got a big boy home so now I need some big boy tools

View attachment 2223755

This shït’s heavy though. I suspect I’ll still get a lot of use out of my Bosch 12v stuff.

Hoping the hackzall has enough oomph to tackle the roots taking over my back yard…because I think most days the form factor will be far more usable to me than a full size sawzall.

Almost went dewalt with a 4 tool set, but this works out cheaper with the “battery hack” and will probably be a better fit. So I guess I’m team red now.

I’d honestly be ok with Ryobi, but I wasn't finding any good deals that got me tools I actually want now…lot of filler or kits with stuff like a 5.5” circular saw instead of something more useful…and I appreciate the craftsmanship of a fine tool.
Have now made use of all three tools.

The drill is smooth as silk. Just a ******* nice tool all around. Heavy, especially with the big battery, but it is a beast.

The hackzall is exactly what I needed. Super happy I went this route rather than the full size reciprocating saw. Love that it has smooth speed control instead of like a low/high trigger.

The impact driver. Well…I’m sure it will be great when I actually need a lot of power (hoping it can handle lug nuts on the cars), but it is definitely overkill for pulling screws out of studs in the garage…The weight and heft work against it and the big battery gets in the way. Wish I had my 12v instead.
That said, it already took a fall off the top of a 6’ ladder onto concrete with nary a scratch (weight imbalance with the battery…) which is several points in its favor.

Will definitely have room in the quiver for the Bosch 12v stuff though based on size and usability. Although Milwaukee sure makes it tempting to use their 12v stuff given the charger can handle both battery types at once.

If you will remove lug nuts or nuts/bolts with any regularity, you will def want to grab a 1/2” impact wrench: https://www.amazon.com/Milwaukee-29...18b22da009563f79a8a205e55c7f9687&gad_source=1

Yeah I know, but my VW lug nuts don’t really need that much torque and I’d have to break a LOT of hex-to-socket adapters before it adds up to another tool!

I liked that it had the platform top like a normal a-frame (and came with a bonus bucket) which the 18 and 22 didn’t. More load capacity too.

I liked the feel/operation of it better than the Werner and Little Giant versions.

Can reach 95% of my house with it I think. Can’t quite get the peak of the gable in extension mode, but I’m not sure the 22’ would work there either.

Still infinitely easier to move the 6’ fiberglass around but this little thing is pretty versatile.

Nice. I've got the 18' version, and I think you made the right call to get the 19'. The platform top is a nice feature. I'd especially like to have the wheels, so it's not necessary to carry it everywhere, since it's not light. But it reaches the roof of my house, which is the primary reason I use it.

My Brother-in-lawnfell off a ladder a few years back doing random home repairs/upgrades. Broke both his ankles.

I definitely encourage you guys to use your ladders frequently.
