Hard to believe I started the guitar thread three years ago and finally took the plunge for both an axe and an amp in the last few weeks. Greatly enjoying the purchases and it has served to wake me up to how making music for the amateur has changed, and it's all for the better, in the last 30 years. The looper and effects pedals of today are incredible. Due to how my amp is set up I need to use the aux in jack to get my backup sounds to bypass the modeling aspect of my amp. That led me to buy this:
It does quite a bit more than just put out some basic rhythms and I'm enjoying playing with it. Here's a great youtube of someone really using it well:

So this has led me to look at the Kaossilator Pro and that led to quite a bit of reading. I'm currently reading through www.tweakheadz.com and the information is fascinating. I'm now currently thinking pretty hard about setting up a home studio and teaching myself to make the type of music I tend to listen to most, namely lounge, trip hop, chill, ambient. Seems if you have a good computer about 1k can get you set up to actually make something a person could listen to.
Anyone here have a home studio? What's your equipment, DAW, etc? Links to your music?
