Why? You're more hobbit than I am. Living in a shithole, but managing to have pretensions, and covered in body hair. I'm just hobbit-rotund.

Absolutely not. The Lord of the Rings (it really is one book) has been extremely beloved and studied since its release. I prefer aspects of each and couldn't really pick one: The Hobbit is a fun adventure story with imaginitive twists and turns but ends up maybe a little too neatly for my taste, while The Lord of the Rings has a rich, complex world of characters and mythology and is wonderfully structured but -- in my opinion -- needs to be trimmed by about two hundred pages.

you have every characteristic of a hobbit. you don't wear shoes, you're very hairy, you spend all of your time eating and drinking, you do really feminine things (lute playing, gardening, giving men massages), are really gay, have one testicle, etc.

I guess that makes sense. I read the novels when I was around 14-15 so while the rich mythology of LOTR was certainly captivating, I much preferred the elegant simplicity of The Hobbit.

Kyle was always a very quiet Hobbit. During classes at East Shire Hobbit Community College, he'd always sit in the back, spending is time staring at his grossly oversized, very hairy feet, daydreaming about piles of sugar plums and meat-based pastries.

But Kyle had a secret -- a secret that, if known, would've shocked his classmates, horrified his family and turned him into one of the most infamous Hobbits this side of Bilbo Baggins. Because... Kyle had a secret life. At the end of each day, as he hung up his apron, dusted off his pantaloons and closed the register at O'Connel's Butchery, his thoughts were elsewhere - preoccupied with what he'd be doing next. For, Kyle wasn't simply a quiet rotund Hobbit, he was also marital aid Faggins, legendary male erotic Hobbit dancer.

Bored of the Rings is one of the greatest parodies ever, up there with Shamela.
