I do not. HW experience includes Vass, Bonafe, and Buday
For comparison purposes I've done Yeossal SG65 and Vass U and S if that helps. No experience with F or P.

Thanks. I wear Vass U last in 44, with an okay fit. It's slightly long, but 43.5 would have been too tight in the toebox.

May I ask what you took in Vass U and SG65?

Well, I'm certain we have at least one last in common if we go beyond HW! Better than nothing. Have anything in the following? Carmina (Forest, Oscar, Rain), C&J (341, 325), EG (82, 606), G&G (MH71), Alden (all). I'm a pretty solid 10.5D US with a slightly high instep.

Yes. Vass 44 in U and SG65 9.5. And I still have the SG65 since I haven't sent it back yet so I can get you comparisons if you want.

Thanks. Earlier you said your feet are particularly difficult to fit. How so? My instep's higher than most, so maybe I don't need the modification...

It's a weird combo - low instep, low volume, narrow heel but a bone spur and medium to higher-ish arch.

Excuse the messy dressing room it’s being used as gift storage ahead of Christmas since my wife doesn’t go in there. Not apples to apples since it’s an Oxford vs derby but it hopefully gives you an idea. SG65 9.5 vs Vass 44 U

differences:
SG65 heel cup is definitely more generous, instep is a few mm higher, maybe a touch longer and a little more space in the toe box.

This is helpful. Based on this, I feel like I might need to go to 9.0 for length's sake.

I finally bit the bullet and reached out Yeossal. Thanks for the insights!

I don't have Yeossal, but based on others seems like my safe bet is YC3

the ones I actually do have

Huang 8.5E (normal width) UK
CJ 341 8.5E UK (only loafer, Sydney, vamp feels a bit tight)
CJ 325 8.5E UK is somehow tight in toebox for me (which not sure if makes much sense relative to 341 but that was my experience with Canvadish)
CJ 348 8.5E UK, kind too tight for oxford, but works ok for boots (Northcote/Tetbury)
GG MH71 9E UK (this is about the only last I can fit in GG and it's borderline, I know TG73 and DG70 in same size definitely does not work, KN14 might work, GG06 would work, but I don't like how it look so never had long term wear)
I have tried Carmina Rain in 8.5 normal width (whatever is normal for Carmina) it works, but no long term wear, I had the Carmina Forest (EE?) split toe tassel, had some fit issue (toebox narrowness) that I end up selling.
Alden Barrie 9D US,
Alden Aberdeen in 9.5D US (the tassel in shell) is too narrow in toebox for me (I have tried 9.5E, heel too loose, 9E, too short, 10D, too long)
Generically speaking if I don't know anything I take 9.5D US/8.5 UK (unless EG/GG type of size than 9UK)
Vass I had a try on experience, U last was too tight in 42.5, F in 42.5 probably would have worked, but never had long term wear other than just try on. I know Peter 2 in 42.5 definitely works even during brief try on.

Man, the rear view of that Yeossal SG65 looks exactly like the OT Huang. I wonder how similar Yeossal and OT lasts are on the whole.

really, I thought SG65 is suppose to be narrower in the toe (thus my inclination on YC3)

So I reached out to Yeossal for guidance on fit, providing a heck of a lot of points of comparison, and was just given a flat recommendation of 9.5UK with a comment along the lines of "take our recommendation at your discretion".

Lol I get more help from SF members. Always somewhere else to spend my money
