Like @clee1982 mentioned, unless you are in China, don't think it would be worth it. RMB 398 for a pair of trees, you'll need to send the shoes to him. My trees took 13 days to make after he received it. However, I wonder if he would be able to make trees for well known brands without you having to send him the shoes.

Definitely the tedious "back and forth" would not make economical sense. However, as I presume, they appear to make for Xibao. If that is indeed the case, I should be able to just have them make the same lasted trees in my desired size.

Conversely, as you mentioned, if they make trees for other brands I can just ask to replicate it using my size.

I think @ijustknow should have more information regarding the maker. I only found the maker after reading his blog. Also, here is the link to the store: https://shop144309847.taobao.com/?spm=2013.1.1000126.2.27693ed8pcyuVC

Hopefully @ijustknow provides further input regarding what's available. Curious if they offer hinged trees as well. I didnt see it on their page.
Incidentally, am I going to have to use one of you boys to translate?
They do offer hinged trees which is also RMB 398. I'll ask if they can communicate in English. Any specific shoes you have in mind and what's the size?

I appreciate that. I doubt finding a translator would be difficult (especially with you all out and about), but if I can do it on my own then that works better.

In terms of shoes, nothing specific although I would be curious who they have made trees for. That information would make it easier to determine how many trees I would be interested in purchasing and in what lasts.

Size is the ever popular 8.5UK.

price is good, my list of "shoe" related things to visit when I go to China just keep expanding..., are these guys in Shanghai as well?

by the way 398 rmb is including shipping the tree back to you (and you're in HK or mainland?)
It's in Guangdong. The price doesn't include shipping. It costed 40 rmb to ship the boots and trees back to me and i'm in mainland I imagine the shipping will be less if it's not boot trees.

Just had a brief talk with the maker. He confirmed that as long as it's been made before (same brand, style, last and size), you don't need to send in the shoes. However, not sure if he will be able to provide me the list of the shoes he's done before. Let's see if @ijustknow can provide any more information.

I wonder how much shipping globally is. ~$60 USD is a great price for a 3 piece boot tree, but if shipping ends up being over $40 USD, the value obviously drops pretty quickly.

Yeah, and that's if the maker happens to have made trees for the exact same model, last and size before. Otherwise, you will need to send the shoes in which means more cost.

This is the only high end shoe tree maker in South China at the moment. I remember they have RTW trees available for popular G&G models, but not sure about other makers and models.

one more picture of the boot trees at a better angle, and I have to say, these are the best fitting trees I've ever had. The front part of the boots are completed filled up by the tree, no empty space(tested by touching every inch of the boots ;) ) and I feel the tension is just right. Well.. guess I'm going to slowly replace all my existing shoe trees now.

Well what I may do is just test the Oct.Tenth trees in other pairs of shoes to determine if that works. I say that because pretty much all the trees I thought needed replacing already have hinged lasted trees ?.

The Oct.Tenth Huang and Pu should cover my rounds and squares. Plus I know that the instep is high enough on that lasted tree for it to work.
That said, does the maker have the Pu and Huang in a 8.5UK?
