Just to chime in, Jesper is 100% right
1. There are many more players you can think of, e.g. Jimjun also does spectacular work and has many OEM orders
2. ACME is totally independent though funded by Medallion, they have their workshop just outside Beijing. The workshop is truly stunning, as some of us had a sneak peek in the Bilibili video. It is managed by Tang who was a partner of Xibao's brand (then TGC now OT) before joining Medallion in late 2018. Therefore, OT and ACME do have some resemblances.
3. I totally agree with the brand/style identities. But it is really a long way to go.

I wouldn't know enough about the Chinese brands to make a definitive comment. And while I do agree with @j ingevaldsson and yourself that there are many shoemakers in and/or around China producing shoes, we are attempting to determine if 4 (specifically four were mentioned) shoe brands fall under the Xibao (not exclusively Xibao name but use them for the manufacturing of their shoes).

I don't believe most think Jimjin, ACME, Zhao RuoDa,
the two major independent Bespoke makers (amongst others) fall under Xibao.

In any case, I am really looking forward to seeing everyone's commissions come to fruition. Speaking for myself, I know next to nothing about Chinese made shoes (not counting LY, Yim).
Thus, any new information concerning shoes, people's pictures, about the companies themselves, would prove beneficial to most inquiring minds on the thread.

I agree with @j ingevaldsson on the finishing part.. Some of the pics Tom shared of the OT shoes, The finishing on the heel was a bit off .. IMO...

I feel Wayman is quite an outlier here. He has much more complicated operations which may involve more than one makers/suppliers

I would be really surprised if Wayman is not just the front for one operation.

I can’t really think he coordinates this remotely with some guy does pattern, some guys does lasting, some guy does sewing? Then last guy send to Germany.

That sounds way too complicated. I would have assumed Wayman was the front for one operation that either does everything in house or contract out some (but all oblivious to Wayman)

So, something funny happened.. instead of my name, Tom mentioned my apartments name in the shipping address name ... With my name no where to be found on the shipping address .. spent the entire day trying to explain to DHL that I am not a business (apartment name sounds like a business ) .. and that I am an individual and giving them paperwork to prove so ?

Sounds like something DHL or most courier services have trouble with..Common sense. Then again, common sense is not so common.

My favorite package route was something like Hong Kong to Shanghai to Alaska to Japan to LA to New York. Thought I would get the package in a few days once it was in Alaska, but alas had to cross the Pacific two more times...
