Inspired by
SoH x OctTenth

we had a mini OctTenth thread

thought it would be nice to have a overall high end Chinese Shoe Thread

I don't really know who is out there other than

Yim Shoemaker

Acme Shoemaker (Medallion in Beijing have them?)

Oct Tenth (SoH has them)

Gordon Jim&Jun

LuYang (bespoke only?)

wanmenxiedao (bespoke only?)

flamepanda11 (looks like mostly workwear boots)

Generic Review:

welcome everyone's input and keeping to the list...

edit: and paging those who likely to have some experience

@wurger -> since he had Oct Tenth prior the collaboration, and probably have more access to mainland
@ThunderMarch -> he just has a lot of shoes..., and being in Singapore definitely help
@BColl_Has_Too_Many_Shoes -> he also just has a lot of shoes...
@deez shoes -> just adding more user that I think might be interested and whom seem to have a lot shoes...

I know yeossal's line is not made in China (or I remembered) but people on that thread might know something to add as well?

edit: seems like yeossal is also made in China?

edit2: add more IG link so it's more consoliated on the top

edit3: let's keep it to handwelt at minimal, otherwise this will get quite large I assume..., and prefer to stay at the higher end...

I think at the moment I'll stick with retailer, just because it's easier (so OctTenth, and Yeossal)

though in general I would say reach out to them on wechat (find their handle in wechat would require some guessing...,in chinese, even if they can respond in English it would just make things a bit easier), I'm not sure how many has taobao store other than say Medallion (which I don't know if they put the ACME stuff on there)

GYW is like $350 then!
Yes, based on the prices from the taobao store, GYW starts from around $350. I think I read somewhere that you can have handwelted as well with a slight increase in price, though it's not mentioned on the taobao store. Personally, I might pick up a pair from either Jim&Jun or TGC( who I believe is what OctTenth is called in China) in the future.

yup I chat with OctTenth (https://www.instagram.com/xibaoshoemaker/) think it's also xibao on wechat, think they can start really low, but if same spec as SoH x OctTenth then I think it's about the same price.
I think the lowest is around $110 from what I can see. The MTO models start from $500 USD and it includes test shoes as well which could be the reason for me to choose them over Jim&Jun.

Some of the xibao styles and leathers look suspiciously like Yeossal as well...
