What are some good brands of denim that use an indigo with a greenish or greyish tone? In other words, a cast of indigo that is more low-key, less saturated than the more blueberryish raws?

There have been occasional threads on this in the past, and I've seen recommendations like Studio D'Artisan, 5EP, NDG, etc. Helmut Lang also uses a more understated blue. Any other similar finds?

NdG had a great greenish hue to it, PRPS is unbleached weft, which is great, not too contrasty

To add to my own thread, the Crate Jackson uses a lightweight grey/green-tone denim that fades to a slighly yellow color instead of white. No clue if other Crate models do the same.

You can add Omnigods too. They look almost yellowish when they fade.

So this is caused by the weft being left greige, and that yellowish undyed cotton color mixes with the indigo causing the greenish? Could you dye a weft thread red then dye it with indigo and as the indigo faded it would seem kind of purple? Would be neat, assuming you could pull off purple jeans. Though I don't know anything about dying so I'm probably wrong about how this works.

Actually, all 5EP jeans are made from that denim, not just the SF collaboration jean.

There are jeans with colored weft threads (green, rainbow, indigo, purple) but I haven't seen any that were really faded so who knows whether it'll actually affect the outcome.

Levi's has their 501 Verde Cast which are apparently rigid, not sure if it counts if the jeans start out green lol
