Yan was awesome, tons of fun to watch. Did anyone ever see him make the dragon noodles? "One noodle, two noodle, four noodle, eight noodle..."

Cooking at Home with Julia and Jacques was the best cooking show of all time. It was entertaining even to the non-chef, it showed techniques of great use to the beginner and the expert in excellent detail, and it provided excellent recipes, while showing enough wiggle room within the recipes so that you could later simplify or elaborate as you wished. The companion book is also amazing.

I don't agree with that statement at all.

I enjoyed Yan's sense of humor as much as his recipes and I am generally not a comedy type person.
