+1.

I have a David Chu sportcoat with such a latch, but the gorge is so high that the collar won't go around my neck, rendering it purely ornamental.

Paul Stuart has seasonal in-store sales, and a sample sale every two years. The last sample sale was earlier this year or at the end of 06. I don't know if there are any other sales channels for previous years' stock.

What is the reason Stephen model in shoes priced over $800.00?
They are very nice but still 800.00... Could it be that they are made by someone other than Grenson?

Also I see a lot of 400+ shoes with very Rose Collection lasts making their way ...

Those probably aren't made by Grenson, at least from past experience. Paul Stuart sells a lot of Italian-made shoes at a lower price point than the Grenson-made Stuart's Choice, which are Masterpieces. They also were selling some Stuart's Choice shoes designed by the French Alan Flusser, Marc Guyot. Those were made in Italy.

I think it's the weak dollar sending up the pricing. I could believe the wholesale price on Grenson Masterpiece level made in England shoes to be 200GBP. So that's $400 wholesale, getting essentially to their current price. At least judging by the website, it looks like they are moving to more Italian made shoes.

C&J Handgrade, from Pediwear (admittedly including VAT) are around $700.

200GBP is unlikely, given that EGs wholesale price is 235GBP. A wild guess on my part would put Grenson's Masterpiece wholesale price within the 125GBP - 175GBP range.

Very nice choice, looking for something similar myself. Unfortunately, as always, the lack of good quality clothing in Sweden leaves a lot to be desired.
