    I'm guessing broken in Khakis or chinos and Linen Shirts would be a safe bet, also tan web belts.

    Waiting for Clothes on Film to do a spotlight on The English Patient.

    Also I vaguely remember that at one point in time (late 80's?)Banana Republic actually did safari theme clothing.

    Oh come on Desert boots have been obvious for the last 20 years in my books, there an old staple piece of mens footwear, nothing new and nothing fresh but always great [IMG]
    Trust me, I know how obvious desert boots are as a staple, I'm just saying that's not the first thing that pops in my head when I think "desert look", far from it. And yeah, The English Patient is probably a good suggestion for what the OP is after... [IMG] but let's expand a bit [IMG][IMG] [IMG][IMG] [IMG]

    i fuck wit it. i will post up some "desert look" in a minute. first rule of desert shit is need something like to cover up ya mouth - otherwise sand gets in when the sandstorm comes. rule no 2 - sunglasses for a similar reason. for wahtever reason the preferred joints are ray ban aviators.

    for real though some white vibram sole or commando joints might be better for this look rather than crepes

    I agree! Precognition Sunglasses would be the best accessory for the desert! http://bit.ly/fnfSsw

    Double hump camel is this season's must have accessory. Don't try to front with a single hump camel, you'll be laughed out of town.

    Dromedary = Old hat.

    This one.

    It actually somewhat saddens me that the fedora has become bastardized by the likes of Jason Mraz.[IMG]

    I think a classic "Indy" fedora would be something i'd readily try to incorporate in my wardrobe.

    +1 on the English Patient. That movie has a beautiful wardrobe, in fact it was a style inspiration for me many years ago. The desert look is very easy to do in PRL, or was.

    basically, get some leather boots, loosely fitted rough pants, a broken in white shirt and a jacket or vest of some kind... colors are generally earth toned. ignore the movie... [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG] [IMG]
