Thanks Johnnie. The leather on the Lythams are a little stiffer than similar Cheaneys I have but still stunning. 360° storm welt too. They will take a little while.

I walked 4 miles in the Sandowns straight away today with no discomfort.

The 3 for 2 deal also got me some green suede Bedale brogue boots. I haven't worn them out yet.

I did see some green suede Bedale on the outlet website and thought they looked awfully tempting. I like the other two you picked up too.

I bet the imperfections are minute.

I like the look of the astorflex. I assume from pics the welt and sole make them too casual for wearing with grey flannel trousers (even in the darkest brown suede). True?
