Aside from the Alden's, what would you all recommend for a pair of dark suede chukkas that could be worn with tailoring as well as chinos/corduroys?
Additionally to the C&J, you have plenty of options such as the Church's Ryder (even though their horrible increase in price), the Cheaney Jackie, Carmina, TLB Mallorca, Carlos Santos, Löf & Tung, and in another price range, the Loake Pimlico, Morjas, among many others.

I got a great deal on a pair of these and then sold them on. Slight regret after seeing them here!

I really liked them but for whatever reason just decided they weren’t what I wanted Ar

The Loake Kempton posted today would be an option.

I like C&J Chiltern but as mentioned they have a few in varying last shapes.

Cheaney also have several.

That’s covers it very thoroughly👍

Just seeing this, but you sound like you're in the ballpark of my sizing. I take a UK10 in nike, 9.5UK in New Balance and a 10US in most Alden lasts. I have a couple of pairs of DukeFlexes in size 9UK and it's an absolutely stellar fit. Most comfortable shoes I own. I would assume the Greenflex sizing is about the same.

I've got a bit of a problem with Astorfelx Greenflex sizing, perhaps somebody could be of help:

My right foot is 27,5cm long, my left foot is 28,5cm long with a tad lower instep.

Astorflex runs in full sizes only.

Right now I'm using 44, or 10UK.

Left, the longer foot is ok in there, right foot is still adjusting, wanting to go all the way forward, but the empty space behind the heel is pulling the foot backwards.

My question is about the sizes:

- in front of my left, the longer foot is 1cm extra space, while the right foot has 2cm extra.

How does the size 43 or 9UK compare to 44 or 10UK in reality? I googled only one sizing chart of Astorflex and it says 43/9UK is 27,5 while 44/10UK is 28,5.

I think if I were to try 43/9UK the shorter foot would be perfect but the longer foot would have almost zero extra space in the front.

In Nike/New balance sneakers 28,5 (or 285) sits best though ( = the best compromise for both feet).

Does anyone know the differences between these two sizes? Anyone bought a tad small size and has experiences how the shoe stretches in time? Would be a great help. Shame that Astorflex doesn't seem to make half sizes. I should perhaps try the Drake's version, but it would be costly.

it’s funny how different sizing experiences can be. I wear roughly the same in New Balance and Nike although haven’t had any Nike in years now. I also wear the Greenflex in the same size and don’t feel like I could size down.

interesting to hear you wear Alden in a much smaller size. They must be a roomy fit!

The Aldens are a pretty nice fit, but I sort of jumped around there between US and UK sizing. it would about 9UK or so if I picked the sizing that way.

But Yes it is weird how sizing fits differently.

Truman Boot Co. x Huckberry
Always wanted to try Truman Boots but the price was always at the top end of my budget. Scored these for $229. Beaver fur Kudu Chukka.

How is the fit on the Hi-tops at Sanders? should you take a size smaller or stay true to your size?
Knowing that every feet are a world, my experience is what I wrote before in this thread, even though not everyone might agree with it.
I wear 6 UK with my Cheaney's, 6.5 UK with my Loake's, and I had to go up to 7 UK with my Sanders Hi-Top: I certainly would recommend sizing up.
These are mine, which are different from the one posted by @Johnniegold

Yes size up with Sanders hi top.

The shoes are wide enough. The problem is there is little height in the toe box. You can see this if you look at them from the side. All the depth is in the sole.

So they may then feel cramped in your standard size.
