What are the advantages of a stitched sole over vulcanized? Durability?

Durability sure, but it also plays into how the shoe looks aesthetically. If you look at major brands like supra, vans, purcell, etc most of the shoes are vulcanized without stitching. The soles usually look lumpy and uneven lending an overall cheap look to the shoe. Most of the stitched shoes have a very even and smooth looking sole that tends to look cleaner than vulcanized offerings. Don't get me wrong, some companies do sneakers right that are vulc'ed but they usually use a thicker low profile sole (ie dior, mmm gats, some cr8 recs).

I really like the McQueen's. But I'm not sure if they are SF approved or not.
