What do you guys think about these Generic Surplus? They're on Gilt right now.
i liked the look of them when i first saw photos ... in real life they're not as nice ... pretty cheap looking ... they've been less than $30 from bargain pump for ages (older similar design with same name "hunting hi" - 9 eyelets instead of 8 and gum colored toe cap and side panels)... http://www.bargainpump.com/item.asp?itemname=12087 i think the "Suede Canvas High Top Sneakers" (real model name is "military hi"... italian army style) ones are much nicer in real life [IMG] [IMG]

Wow, that first pic makes me like them much more. I wish they had that first colorway on gilt tho, I don't like the green or black or blue as much. [IMG]

I recently got the leather superga, here is a pic of them on my feet

I like them and the leather is actually really soft and decent quality.

Revolve Clothing has the black leather version on sale for $40

    http://www.revolveclothing.com/Displ...es&s=C&d=b&n=s

Use the code Tulip for 15%, works out to be $34. Great Deal.

Thanks for the code! Would you say leather would be better than canvas in the long term? Stinger, how easy are they to clean?

Odd question but on Gilts current "your pants size sale" picture there are like some brown suede high tops that I really really like. Can anyone ID? Please and thank you

havent got them dirty yet! the canvas ones you can throw in the washing machine, and they take on a sort of tatty look which actually looks cool. Leather ones i intend to just wipe down when they get dirty, although for the price im not too bothered if they get beat up. Worn in looks better. I went for leather because everyone is wearing cheap canvas shoes.

Hmm I can`t find a pair of hi tops that I like in my price range . So in the end I think I will take that converse. Nothing special but leather and decent looking I hope. What do you think of?

Sry for posting a link, but posting picture doesn`t work at the moment.

Yes that`s true. But I like them and it`s a classic can`t go wrong with it.
I save up money to invest in a nicer ( more expensiv pair) later.

^very bad idea, just dont buy them and then you are 50 euro closer to having a nice pair in the future.
