I notice few buttons on the cuff to be an older thing, like around the late 50's early 60's.

Forgive me for forgetting that the interwebz is a place where igents go to express feelings and ask questions they already know the answer to. I do not, however, apologize for my earlier sentiment which, as it happens, holds true.

Keep wearing the DB if you'd like. If Andre3stacks can do it in a commercial you'd better start looking at other things. Just saying.

Having been a resolute 4-button cuff man (2 working, 2 sham) for ever, I confess that now that everyone has four, and some have five (ugh), the idea of just one or two (for some reason, not three) is increasingly intruiging.

I'm relieved to hear this since it gives us a way to tell you apart from David Brooks. *

The zip cuff will replace the button cuff for most men like the zip fly has replaced the button fly.

To the original post, I have also noticed an uptick in the dress in NYC, albiet more recently. That said, since I just obtained my first bespoke DB, I dont care if its the new frock coat. I will happily endure the stares for as long as I can wear it.

I forgot to copyright double monks, to my recent financial regret. Also felt lapel flowers.

    Oh: crazy socks.

My guess is that the stare is one of admiration. Of course, the DB is hard to get right but having accomplished this, the style is quite pleasing. This is especially true for one of slender form.

SF clearly needs something like this:

The difference is you have a younger audience that haven't been thru the style cycles and they don't know what to think.:stirpot:

I only see old Chinese guys here rocking DBs. But then again, they're also the only people I see wearing suits out in Queens.
