How can it be cool when anybody can just go out and buy the same thing?

Try a bespoke genuine tortoise shell frame......now that's something to talk about.

Putting that which is 'hot' or the 'right' brand in front of what looks great on your particular face is a sure recipe for looking the fool.

Proceed with caution.

Speaking as one who wears prescription spectacles, I was under the impression that social convention prevents you from being cool while wearing them.

Exception being using spectacles, not because you can't see well, but because you're being nerd sheek. Or sunglasses, as long as you do not reveal that they are prescription shades.

If I humored a notion of coolness while wearing glasses, I would blow my money on TOM FORD. An uneducated choice on my part, especially since they do not fit my face well.

Hope that helped

There are people out there who wear prescription frames with window glasses as an accessory because they actually have perfect vision.
A female friend of mine puts on black JIL SANDER glasses (with window glasses) in business meetings and gets compliments for looking serious and professional.
I actually have bad vision...

Thanks, I'll go for Paul Smith. Simple and slightly retro.
As for custom made glasses, I'd ask Walter van Beirendonck. A "W" sits much better on one's beak than an "H", after all....
This whole forum is about brands, lady.

Ah, my bad. I thought you actually wanted to be cool.
Being a brand whore is easy. Maybe Hermes can custom make you a pair in the trademark "H" shape?

I can see them doing something in the manner or laying the"H" on its side, and fitting lenses at the ends. Or simply integrating the "H" as a nose piece. You, my friend, are an innovator. Hermes would be lucky to have you...

I forgot the most obvious response:

Hermes does make custom prescription spectacles, but I am unable to talk about it at this time...

What's next in the "cool" list? Fake hearing aids?
