1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

I've always like the Patagonia vibe. Chouinard seems like a cool cat.

Funny, I just read the Marie Kondo book several weeks ago. It's kinda self-helpy but her premise is pretty good. Why not have everything you own bring you some kind of joy? The trick for people like us is that she starts her weeding process with clothing -- apparently the "easiest" category to go through... for most people! I still like hanging on to certain things even if I don't wear them much. Cool design brings me joy.

Unbearably cheesy/romantic (and commercial of course) video though, even if I like and support the overall theme of wearing your clothes for a long time.

    "something" black-overdyed indigo jeans

Started out pretty close to black, fading to a beautiful midnight blue color. Perfect fit. Been wearing them everyday to work and nobody has said anything yet :) :) :)

How are the soles still intact? Both my pairs almost have holes worn through the soles after ~18 months.

Weird. Mine aren't even that worn. Maybe your stride hits the ground funny or something? I think these are 3-4 years old.

Posted in the Visvim thread, but I don't think they're out of place here. After cleaning and conditioning...

I'm pretty surprised they still look this good after 2.5 years of heavy wear (and 2 snowy winters).
