Was just curious and got to thinking after reading all those super hero movie threads...

What are some super heroes that will go the extra mile and kill off their villians? Like the anti-Batman and Superman.

Only one that immediately comes to my mind is The Punisher.

about the dc reboot... it all depends, im sure there will be some good series coming out, but its unnecessary i think. And in marvel and DC things always end up being the same.
About schism, im not really caught up, i kinda stopped reading xmen events because it seems they keep breaking up and rearranging themselves in different ways.

Also, the love for the immortal iron fist is deserved. The artist was Gabriel Ba, he drew my favorite action scenes, but there were multiple fill ins, in most issues theres guest artists with him.

*Series i would recommend to anyone getting back into comics/starting i would also recommend:
The popgun anthologies
The unwritten
Y the last man
Scalped
Sweet tooth
Asterios polyp
anything drawn by paul pope

New Spider-Man is....

http://www.ifanboy.com/content/articles/The_NEW_Ultimate_Spider-Man_Identity_Revealed_-_SPOILERS
Tonight, USAToday broke the news that the identity of the new Spider-Man in Ultimate Spider-Man is half an African-American, half Hispanic teenager named Miles Morales. Morales will be introduced in the pages of Ultimate Fallout #4, which hits stores this Wednesday, August 3rd, but his appearance will be brief. His entire origin and story of how he becomes Spider-Man will come this September, with the re-launch of the title with Ultimate Spider-Man #1.

I just started to read the Powers series. I love the concept ;a couple of average cops in a world where superpowered individuals are part of the norm. They appear in newspapeers, give endorsements, and combat crime. It's well written, and very entertaining.

I've been reading a lot of crime comics, lately. Dynamite is doing a good job reviving the pulp titles of the 30s. Masks is really good as is The Shadow: Year One. I just read the first two issues of The Black Beetle today and the new Green Hornet (Mark Waid is writing it), which is really good. The new storyline of Green Arrow is good.

I just read the 5th collection of Locke and Key, which is the best series I've read in years. Terrific writing, excellent artwork and inking. There are homages to both "Doom Patrol" and "Calvin and Hobbes". The story has been beautifully paced, with revelations slowly building the suspense.

Also, Joe Hill is a considerably better writer than his father :)

Of course. After Y The Last Man, anything Vaughn does gets a read from me.

I really, really was underwhelmed by Y. It wasn't bad, the writing and art was both acceptable, but that was it. I didn't see the point for its existence.
