1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

My favourite cologne? Spanish Leather from G.E.O. Trumper on Jermyn St. GBP 22 for a reasonably sized, air travel friendly plastic bottle. Never leave home without it. Classic long-lasting scent.

Sampled dior homme yesterday, it was good but barely lasted 2 hours.

Ordered helmut lang EDC today, blind.

I remember recently sampling some nice orange citrusy colognes but can't remember my favorites. Can someone recommend me some of the more masculine ones out there?

The Lang EdC is a definite "test first," unless you got it VERY cheaply. I love it, personally, but it is a very odd, buttery, soft skin scent with musk. Nevertheless, as I say to anybody, if you get it and hate it, I'm sure I'll buy it from you as it's discontinued and I always want to have a ready supply on hand.

well $40 is cheap enough. I'm fairly adventurous, and unless it is extreme in some sense that I don't like then I'm sure it'll be used.

That's not a bad price... I hope you like it. If you like lighter, citrus-y or aquatic fare, this one may not be a hit with you; I think that a lot of Lang clothing fans were surprised by this one and it never sold very well (and has since been pulled from the market). BUT, definitely give it a try; in my opinion, it's one of the best designer scents ever (from a fragrance point of view), along with Cuiron and Yohji Yamamoto's "Yohji Homme."

    Alright so recently:

Wore helmut lang for the past 2 days. Underwhelming at first but then it started to grow on me. Nice and warm, and seems like it has some decent layering potential. It definitely complements certain outfits, it really adds to the whole package and will definitely be used.

Sampled Dior homme AGAIN. sprayed it on neck, wrists. Walked to APC, then 45rpm, then by the time I was walking back to broadway the scent was gone.
I love it but such a fleeting scent seems a waste of money.

Also sampled yohji homme somewhere in the past few days. I think i'll pick this one up at a discount if I can find....

Other things I've tried recently were Terre d'hermes and hermes orange verte; pretty good but restrictive pricing.
