I think Gary will be there. I don't have the credentials to get in anymore

It looks like a pretty cool list of vendors though. Oh, and to answer the question: the Collective is a trade show in NYC.

Gary Drinkwater of Drinkwaters. Told me he would be there (like every other retailer on the East Coast). Very nice guy. Slightly older guy with salt and pepper hair and mustache and goatee, about 6', and medium build. Dresses conservatively - lots of earthtones. If you are still at the job you were at, though, Mike C., he probably won't stop by at your booth for very long. What are you going to be doing there? Are you going to be repping your line, or are you just going to pick up ideas? I'd be interested in knowing whether you see any really cool new lines.

What kind of trade show ? (alas, I think I know the answer to the question, but would rather not assume).

I.e. what specific segment (of the market I assume it is).

Ahhh ... the absolute luxury of being one of the only buyers in a hall with hundreds of vendors. Thank you, God, for this wonderful snowstorm.

Talk about being King for a Day.

And for all of you peons who didn't want to get your feet wet and are going Monday or Tuesday: Rest assured - if it was any good, those of we brave souls bought it all up on Sunday. Enjoy the leftovers.

I am indeed here, in 12 plus inches of snow, assisting in a vendor's booth. Unfortunately missed Alex...Hopefully will see MIke, maybe Gary tomorrow. Booth 2839...

If anyone's there stop on by. If you need a pass IM me and I'll make arrangements.

I go shopping in rain, sleet or snow.

I don't know what the heck you guys are talking about. But whatever it is, I wasn't invited, and so the vendors aren't getting my business. No skin off my hide.

Well...they might just ultimately get your business, but it wont be for another 5-6 months. The collective is the B2B show for men's wear as listed above. Right now they are showing Fall 05. You wont see this stuff available until June-July.

Anyone see how the Cloak NYC stuff for next fall was? More like this past FW season, or the 03/04 FW season. I prefered prefered that season's outerwear - especially their use of heavy knitwear, distressed canvas, boiled wool, and details like vintage crested buttons. I did really like their cotton twill pants from this past season though.

Called earlier and what they want to let you in is 1) A business card and 2) a vendors PO or something that shows you are a real business and not someone that printed a business Card for the occassion.

How strict they are gonna be about that I dont know but Alex K indicated that its for real.
